Hello! I've just joined and am hoping for some tasmanian rellies to crop
up with oodles of info! I have two discrete branches in Tas. but will
try just one for now.

The BAKER families who were concentrated around Ringarooma and Ruby Flat
in the 1880s and onwards seem to be my grandmother's paternal relatives
- William Baker, probably married to Jessie CLARK, and David Baker,
married to Sarah Jane SAMMS. They had plenty of children and I hope some
of them are still around. These brothers were among several children of
Ann HILL and James BAKER, married in Launceston in 1846; the parents
took all the children to Victoria c. 1855 and most of them stayed there.

Anyone who has any links to or info on this family please reply: I have
lots of info to share.

Fi (in Melbourne).
