H ello LIsters
Cannot believe that it can take 2-8 weeks to obtain a copy of a BDM
certificate from the Archives Office in Hobart as was indicated today by
Eric and Lauren Bittner's reply to Lauren's query about turnaround times at
the Archives Office.

If this really is the case then surely it is time for genealogist's to
protest about the appalling turnaround time, and thereby give the clearly
understaffed persons endeavouring to run the Archives Office some much
needed support. At that rate we will be entering the third millenium
before all my missing relatives are entered on the Tas BDM's.
