Dear All
I am researching the name of BABINGTON. Ian (Wooley) from Tasmania, and
Tony (Babington) from England have helped me with loads of information,
to them many thanks. We have also come across Ric (Smith) and Bob
(Leaver) also I have found distant cousins from Australia and NZ.
The reason for writing is this.
Is anyone else researching the Babington's (or have a Babington in their
lineage). Edward Babington in the 1800's was sent on a convict ship to
Tasmania along with his son, his family duly followed. Edward came from
Lincolnshire, England (where I now live). My gggmother was Mary Jane
Babington (we believe Edward to be her great uncle).
Any information greatly received.
