Hope someone can help me find out about what happened to these people.

William SERJEANTSON b 14 Feb 1836 Tasmania d 9 Jun 1924 ?
m 2 Oct 1860
Mary Emily MEYRICK b ? d 28 Jan 1903

Williams' father was William SERGEANTSON his mother Marian WILLIS

As a side line William Sergeantson Snr was shot while trying to ride down 'Hunt', a noted bushranger...he and his steed were fired upon and wounded by 'Priest, a notorious bushranger. These are 2 stories I have read of which are in total conflict. Could someone please tell me which to believe?
