Does anyone have any light to shed on an Irish girl, Mary Ann Collins, born
about 1850, not sure where, who was in Hobart in 1868 in time to follow her
soldier beau (2/14th) to Perth, marry him there in 1869, and return to
Hobart with him later that year. Her father is noted on the marriage
certificate as Michael Collins, farmer. She is supposed to ahve been
related to many of the Irish immigrants who settled in the Cygnet area. A
great aunt was supposed to be Honorah Donohue who died in Hobart in 1884,
aged 105. Any clues at all would help in locating this very elusive
ancestress. Lou.
