Hi Lorraine,

I know that my Mary Louise LAKE was born in Hobarttown, 1823/5. Her
father was Thomas LAKE, her mother was Margaret REDPATH. I have not
been able to find a marriage for her parents, or a death of either of
them. Nor do I have any idea when they arrived in Tasmania, or if
indeed they married there or before they arrived. The only clue I
have is that I think they were Presbyterians, as Mary married Lewis WADE
in the rights of the Scotish Church.
It is interesting to know of LAKE'S in Linc's, also in Babington, that
is in the south of England isn't it? I think I went there as a child.
People didn't seem to move around all that much in the early days, so
either of these places may be a good starting point for me. I would be
pleased to hear from you again with more information, when it is to hand.

Thanking-you,
Noel Eddy,
