Just a thought but are you only using information from the Pioneers index or
have you checked the actual films. I have found several instances where the
maiden name shown in the index is actually different from what is on the
actual register. What has happened is that the person transcribing the data
for the index has read the maiden name of the person in the previous entry.
Hence some very strange combinations of couples.
