Hi Garry,

Consulting a copy of "Notorious Strumpets..etc", the record for Mary
Stewart shows that she arrived at the Derwent 27 Aug 1817, from Sydney
on board the "Elizabeth Henrietta". In the 1820 Muster she was shown as
holding a Ticket of Leave, with Robert Smith, Hobart Town. In the 1821
Muster she was shown as holding a Ticket of Leave, Hobart Town.

You may already have this information, but could Robert Smith have been
the father? Does other information you have agree with the birth year
for Jane of 1818?

Best wishes
