Merry Chrissy to everybody. I have a question which somebody might know
the answer too. My ancestor lived in Tasmania late 1800's but I know he
died from Tuberculosis early around 1910. I have found an inquest for
what I think might be my relative but it is in Victoria. My question is
if somebody had Tuberculosis (consumption) late 1800's is it possible
they would have been shipped over to Victoria to be treated in an
Infectious Diseases Hospital. Maybe Tasmania didn't have facilities
then? I don't want to go ahead and order inquest papers yet in case it's
just a coincidence. Does anybody have any suggestions? The death is
recorded in 1907 which I think is a bit too late too look on Tassie
records? Anyway his name was William James Kearn if sks could help?
Regards,
Leanne
