Hello from Joyce Hailstone in Tickera, South Australia.
I have been researching for about four years and at present am interesting
in finding any information about Zenophon BASHAM, born in 1772 in Bartlow.
Cambridge who was transported, I think first to Sydney, and then to
Tasmania. He was shot by a convict in Launceston in 1826. He was married
to Sarah (?) and she was living with him and had children born in Tasmania.

His descendants came to live in the Hindmarsh Valley, near Victor Harbour in
South Australia.

Apparently there was an article regarding his death in the local paper at
the time and I am very desirous to have a copy of that article and any other
information on Zenophon.

As Zenophon had his wife and children with him, could be have been a
settler?

If I can assist with South Australian reserarch, please let me know.

Thanks and regards, Joyce.
