Dear Jan,
The Tasmaniana Library (part of the State Library of Tasmania) has produced
a book which has not yet been published listing "most" known place names
since the beginning of settlement. I say most because it didn't contain the
name of the place I was looking for - Sheppherd's Point. However, I've sure
if you email the State Library of Tasmania they may be able to look up your
place for you. First log onto the Tasmanian
Government website (Tasmania Online) and follow the links to the library.

Cheers,
Marg Wise,
Hobart, Tas.
