Info on the AVRI in the US from the LDS Church is:
Item no. 50095000 Australian Vital Records Index $ 9.00 U.S.
As for ordering, if you are going to be staying where you can receive mail,
you can order it and have it delivered there. What part of the country are
you going to visit?? Not knowing where you'll be, makes it difficult to
provide any other suggestions. But, you might check out the Web site <
www.familysearch.com > and link through catalog to get details. If there is
a local Family History Library branch of LDS near where you will be, they
might also be able to order it for you.
