Direct line of Rob and Edie McArthurs Maternal Family,

FLOOD Joseph, Political Convict, Born Dublin Ireland, Transported from Cork, Ireland, 15/2/1793, aboard the "Boddington" arrived August, same year. His common law wife Ann Germaine (alias) Jarmy, Convict, transported aboard the "Mary Ann", tried in 1790 at Norwich, UK arrived 9th July, 1791. Not sure if they married, it is beleived he had a wife in Ireland. Joseph and Ann. 5 children. One John Flood, b1797 NSW, Robs 3rd Gt GF, marr, Margaret Watson 1818 St Philips church, Sydney, nsw, father John Watson. Details known of each child.
John Flood and Margaret Flood (Watson) Had 8 children in Tasmania.
(1) John Thomas 2ns Gt GF b1830 Longford, Tas, married Susan Cox Christchurch Longford, had 6 children, Emmas Susan 1854, Alice Caroline Alberta Robs Gt GM b1857, Clara Margaret b1860, Amy, Ida, Blanche. (2) Samuel Henry b1833 marr Elizabeth Williams 1855 11 children. (3) Mary Ann b1821, married James Brumby 1855 12 children.
(4) William b1822, marr Elizabeth Lee 1845, 9 children. (5) Elizabeth b1823 marr James Summers 1846, 9 children. (6) John b1826-1828. (7) Margaret b1837, marr Robert Lee 1860 Longford 9 children. (8) Esther b1839-1839. (9) James b1841-1843

LAING William Laing Robs Gt GF, eldest Child of Scottish Bounty immigrants, James Robertson Laing and Jean Laing (Bennie) James son of William and Janet Laing (Robertson) of Polmont Stirling, Sct. James and Jean, along with brother William and wife Mary came aboard the "Forest Monarch" arriving July 1857. James and Jean had 5 children, (1) William b1861, (2) James Robertson b1864 didn't marry, (3) Mary 1866 no issue, (4) Jane Elizabeth no issue.
William b1861 L'ton, ,marr Alice Alberta Flood, daughter off John and Susan Flood, 1886 at St Andrews Pres, L'ton. They had 9 children
(1) Arthur Monarch b1891 Batchelor, (2) William Hugh Robs GF, b1889-1964 marr Millicent Katherine Webber, 1919, daughter of FranK and Annie Webber of Evandale. Had 2 daughters, one living. (3) Andrew b1891 Batchelor. (4) Albert Roy b1893, marr Christina Freeburg 1918 had 2 daughters. (5) Janet Allison, one son, dec. (6) Betha Jean b1896 marr William J Witt 1919, 2 sons living. (7) Lennox John b1897 marr Elvie M Burton, no issue. (8) Robert Kieth b1899 marr Dorothy M Jackson 1921 7 children. (9) Alice Caroline b1904, marr William R Hill lived Victoria had one son all dec.

WEBBER Millicent who married William Hugh Laing, with two daughter. Was the daughter of a convict John Webber, b1803, Stogursey, Somerset. One of 10 children of Richard and Elizabeth Webber, nee Tucker of Stogursey. John was transported to Tasmania in 1845 for breaking into the dwelling house of William Mullins and stealing a silver watch, a gold ring abnd black silk handkerchief, and stealing a fustian coat from Thomas Rendall. I have no details of his marraige to Catherine McCarthy/McCaffrey need help in this area. they had 8 children. (1) Mary Ann b1857 (2) John b1859, (3) Silene b1862 (4) male b1866 (5) Robert b1868 marr Eliza Wells (no Date) 3 Children. (6) Annie b1871 (7) Female b1872 (8) Frank Joseph, Robs Gt GF b1873 married Annie Wells (haven't a date). Frandk and Annie had 10 children in Evandale area. (1) Robs Grandmother Millicent Katherine b1893 marr William Laing 1919, two daughter, one living. (2) Frances Llewyllen b1894, killed in Action 1914-1918. (3!
