Hi Joan,
Sorry, I don't have any info on Margaret Burkinshaw and her two young daughters. The original passenger list I have for the Dec 1821 voyage, is the convict contingency only. Five days after PROVIDENCE II arrived in Hobart its arrival was recorded in the Hobart Town Gazette, Shipping news, Saturday 22 December 1821 and includes the names of 17 families who came out as passengers at the expense of the government to join their husbands and relatives, among who are: Mrs Halloran, Miss Laura Halloran, and Misses Anna Mary, Margaret and Eliza Magill. - Passengers, Mr & Mrs Platt and family, and Mr & Mrs Robertson and family. However, it is possible that they were on board.
The only other voyage PROVIDENCE II made was to NSW in 1822, as far as I know.
I don't have much on MARY ANNE I, except that it departed 15-12-1821 from
Portsmouth and arrived Hobart 2 May 1822. It made one voyage only around that time. The next entry I found for MARY ANN I was not until 27 Nov 1840.
So, leave it with me, and I'll see what I can find out for you at the State Library this week.
Regards,
Merle
