I have two convict bricks, with thumb prints. I don't know for sure if my
Robert Barker made them but they came from the cottage that he built and
lived in after being stationed at the Cleveland road gang.
The cottage was falling down and the owner of the farm graciously allowed my
mother to have two of the bricks.
I consider them a 'treasure'.
