Hi Everyone
I believe that as the actual tickets of leave and convict passes were
issued to the persons concerned they would not have survived as a rule.
If you think about it, these items were carried by their holders and
would have become quite dog-eared - not the kind of thing one would
carefully preserve.
Think about things you have like the membership cards for your local
something or other society. By the end of the year it is nice to get a
fresh new one. Do you keep the old ones?
Not very encouraging I know but might save someone from banging their
head against the proverbial brick wall.
If anyone does find one among the bits and pieces that come down through
the family it maybe possible to arrange electronic copies so we can all
have a look at what they were like.
