Hi Stuart,

Here is the page of the GRO's website that gives info on fees for
certificates and downloadable forms:

http://www.statistics.gov.uk/nsbase/registration/CertE_W/fees.asp

There is also a site that explains how to order certificates from the
GRO at:

http://www.bishopdale.demon.co.uk/fhs/ordering_certificates_from_southport.htm

You can't order certificates online although you can, if you choose,
order by email - this is not encouraged as it's not secure to send
credit card details by email.

Also, if you know full details of the event and where it was registered,
it's cheaper to order the certificate directly from the local register
office. You don't need the GRO index number to do that, just full
details of the event (names, dates, places). The Genuki website
(http://www.genuki.org.uk/) has details of all local register offices.

Cheers,

Katherine
