Hi all,
I came across a reference to this book:
Pioneers of Van Diemen's Land, by Reg. A. Watson, 1985, 57pp, A4, soft
cover, not indexed.
A dossier on 21 prominent pioneers of the state together with a selected
number of photographs. Included are: Henry Hopkins, Walter George, Smith
O'Brien, Alexander Reid, William Langdon, Rev. Robert Knopwood, Bishop
Nixon, Thomas O'Meagher and the Irish Exiles, William Gunn, Edward
Dumaresq, Ronald Pitt, Sir Richard Dry, Dr William Valentine, Thomas
Watson, Henry Reed, William Lyne, Judah & Joseph Solomon, Blackburn &
Thomson and Betty King.
Does anyone know if the Thomas WATSON listed was born 1846 Cambridge,
married Mary FRANCIS and was a superintendent of police?
Cheers
Jan
