Hi,

Here is my rather belated addition to the roll call.

My name is Steve Pearsall. I am 37 years old, live in Launceston with my
wife and 5 children. I am fortunate enough to work at the Launceston
Library - part of my time there is spent in the local history area helping
others research their ancestry.

For the past 3 years I have been compiling a comprehensive index of all
Tasmanian newspapers by name covering the years 1816-1825 for commercial
purposes. I intend to continue this index until at least the end of 1829.
Email me for more detail.

My research interests include:

William Nichols and Frances Davis - arrived 1804 - free
John Pearsall - arrived 1804 - convict
James Young and Isabella McBean - arrived 1833 per ship Thomas - free
John Tollard - arrived 1831 per ship Proteus - convict machine breaker
John Smith - arrived 1818 per ship Lady Castlereagh - convict - settled
Castle Forbes Bay
Thomas O'Brian - arrived Sydney 1788 - marine
Stephen Martin - arrived Sydney 1788 - convict
William Coventry - arrived Sydney 1802 - convict
Thomas Lucas - arrived Sydney 1788 - marine
John Fawkner - arrived Hobart 1804 - convict

I think that I have been in contact with most of the people researching
these families who are on the list.

Kind regards,
Steve Pearsall
