Afternoon.

I am in a bit of a quandry. I have always been under the impression
that my ggrandfather Henry (Harry) LANCASTER b1871, who was
the son of James b1827 & Harriet b1835 LANCASTER (nee
Campbell), married a Clara WELLS b1876.

I have also thought that Henry's brother Alexander marred Clara's
sister Esther b1870. I thought the two girls were the daughters
of John b1832 and Mary Anne b1847 WELLS (nee Alexander).

I have been told recently that this may not be correct and that my
Clara could possibly be from another family of WELLS. It would
appear that the Clara who was the daughter of John and Mary Anne,
did die a month after she was born. Makes me wonder how I am here.

I have a 1940's/50s photograph of Henry and Clara outside their
old boarding house in Catamaran, so I know that my grandmother's
name is definitely Clara.

Does anyone have information of Henry and Clara? I will be most
disappointed if Mary Ann ALEXANDER is not my 2xggrandmother,
as the story of her family (machine breakers) is very interesting.
