Searching for any information relating to Thomas PHASEY.

He arrived in Hobart as a Convict boy age 14 years, in 1840. I have been
able to find no trace of him once he was given his Certificate of Freedom 15
Feb 1847 to the date he died in 1902 in Rookwood Asylum for the Destitute
and Infirm, Sydney NSW. His death certificate states he was married to Mary
in Victoria (no date or place of marriage and no surname for Mary). No
children listed.

Could not find a marriage for him in NSW, SA, VIC or TAS.

I did however find a death for a Mary Ann PHASEY in 1886 in Orange, NSW. It
stated she was born in DUBLIN, IRELAND and at the time of death she was 65
years of age. No children listed.

Her father was listed as John McEVOY and mother Ellen (no surname). There
was no occupation listed for her father either.

It stated she had been in the colony for 51 years and had been married to a
James PHASEY (no date, no place of marriage). James PHASEY was not the
Informant on the Death Certificate and her burial was ordered by the Coroner
in Orange, NSW. She died of Exhaustion and Debility and her religion was
ROMAN CATHOLIC.

I have found in Tasmanian records a MARY ANN McEVOY arriving in 1840 a
female convict from Dublin, Ireland who arrived on the Mary Anne. I found a
marriage for her but it was to a Stephen GALE.

Would anyone have any further information relating to Mary Ann McEVOY or
Thomas PHASEY. Would really appreciate some help with this one as it is
quite a puzzle.
