Hi
I was wondering if anyone could tell me where Cooling is in the U.K.?
It is listed as the native place of my g.g.g. grandfather on his convict papers.
He was tired in Cambridge 26 Oct 1847,for stealing a gelding, but he was not sent to Tas until Nov 1850. Can anyone give me an idea where he would have been imprisoned until he was transported?
