Hello Listers,
In case there are any American residents that are interested here are the
details of this book below including North American holdings from OCLC's
WorldCat. There is a similar catalogue in Australia, Kinetica that lists
holdings of the majority of Australian libraries. I think that your local
public library would have access to Kinetica and could arrange to borrow a
copy for you on Inter-Library loan.

Hi Liz
I hadn't time until now to check my notes re "The Tasmanian Gallows"
The author is Richard Davis and the full title 'The Tasmanian gallows: A
Study in Capital Punishment" Solomon Blay lived in Oatlands, The book gives
some details of his life and duties. It is a few years since I read it and
my interest was in the general scene of a hanging at Oatlands rather than
Blay so I forget most of the detail. The book is in the State Library of
Victoria.
Cheers
Marianne
