Tiger would be the animal in questio :) Devils there are many of.
You might be out of luck though. There's a collection of photos at

The only other ones I can recall, other than a family group standing around a skin/body,
were taken in zoos.
The second link above has the photo of the last known tiger shot, by Wilf Batty. I'd say,
family stories being the way they are, that a photo of someone who has just shot a tiger
has become something more. Although there's obviously a limited number of
hunter/tiger photos in existence. I don't suppose your mother has any idea who has it
now?
