This is rather a broad query. I am researching *one* SULLIVAN family, but
there are numerous such families in Tasmania, not all related. I am not
aware of a James SULLIVAN in my family, but as I'm not 100% sure I have even
found my great grandfather's parents I can't be sure that there wasn't a
James involved also.
I believe my great great grandparents might be Thomas SULLIVAN and Mary
SULLIVAN (maiden name also). Thomas (convict) arrived in July 1850. Mary
(free) arrived 1854. They married 1857 in Spring Bay, Tasmania. They had
six children that I know of - William, Bridget, Thomas, Anna, Mary and John.
This much is fact - but I am not 100% sure that the John is my John Joseph,
born somewhere between 1867 and 1872.
What timeframe do you have for your James SULLIVAN?
Cheers
Jan
