Yesterday I made the most of a trip down to Hobart to attend the wonderful
Bicentenary Reception at Govt House with a visit to the Archives.

Noticed on the front desk a booklet which listed, chronologically, all the
newspapers published in VDL / Tas - with columns for Hobart, Launceston and
Other Places - from earliest till ......?. On just glancing through the
booklet I was amazed at just how many different newspapers were being
produced at the same time - even in the same area.
I haven't had a chance to check to see whether it is available On-line, but
it would be worth a check. A very valuable resource for researchers!

Many thanks to AOT staff who have produced this and the many other valuable
publications which life a little easier for us poor researchers who have
limited time to indulge our passion!
