Hello Lesley,
Of all the female convicts that embarked the "Lady Juliana", 1790 (and there
is a great deal of speculation regarding the exact number), 53 of these
women ended up in VDL, although an additional 11 women had an "association"
with the settlement/s in either Port Dalrymple or Hobart and surrounds by
way of being in a married situation, defacto, or just having children to
men who ultimately settled in VDL, the women having either died, or moved
on to "greener pastures".
Please let me know if your interested in me supplying information of the 53
+ 11.
