Listers may be interested in the following e-mail that was sent to me (&
possibly others) – forwarded with the sender’s permission. Note especially the
holding by the State Library of some of the CDs of images:

“For well over 12 months now we have been busy photographing all headstones,
wall plaques etc at Cornelian Bay and have finally finished.
As you can imagine, this was a mammoth task and we now have a Church of England
dvd for sale.  On advice from the Cemetery Trust it was decided we would proceed
this way as all the photos are captured on a single dvd.  CD’s are also
available on request.  (There are over 20,000 photos in this section)
For more information go to

http://eastderwent.dynup.net/Graves%20of%20Tasmania/Index.htm

At the present time we are also compiling a database of all unmarked graves
which will also be available at a later date.  The winter project is compiling a
database of all
pauper’s graves which will include (if known) where the individual passed away.
(There are over 5,000)

Prior CD’s which are classified into Municipalities are also for sale and I
would point out that these have been purchased (in multiples) by the State
Library of Tasmania and can be viewed at branches of the Library for anyone not
wishing to purchase.

I would be very grateful if you could pass this information on to anyone to whom
you think might be interested”

I have no connection with this project, so comments etc to the proponents please
(see website), not me :-)
