Dear Rachel and Ray,
"My" Ridley family arrived in Tas. in 1836, and settled in the Longford area
for a time. There may be a family connection to your Walter, as "my"
Ridleys moved to VDL to join Mrs. Ridley's "base born" son, my
gggrandfather, John Cruse, following his transportation to VDL. He worked
at Woolmers, not so far from Westbury... I have details of their English
origins and later history if you'd like to contact me off list.
Best wishes,
Carol Brill.
