Subject: CHANDLER - ENGLAND surnames

Hi listers,
I am thinking of organizing a family reunion for members of the CHANDLER
family descended from William who arrived in Tasmania in 1855 and began
Chandler's nursery in Sandy Bay, Hobart. I know he was at some stage head
gardener at Government House and I was wondering if anyone knew where there
might be some records of his employment there. In 1859, he married Caroline
BRYANT.
The ENGLAND descendants would be from John ENGLAND who arrived as a convict
then in 1854 married Rebecca JACKSON who had also arrived as a convict prior
to this.
Julia Charlotte, a daughter of William, and Henry Lewis, a son of John,
married in 1885.
If you are descended from either of these families please get in contact
with me regarding the reunion. Surnames include:
CHANDLER, ENGLAND, McBETH, MULHEARIN-LILLEY, MURRIDGE, THOMPSON, PROUSE,
BONHAM, STIRLING, DAVEY, BONHAM, HOPKINS, JOHNSTON, JOHNSON and BRADLEY
