Hi,
As all the others have indicated Native Place normally meant place of birth
however, I've found that this was not always the case and sometimes they put
the place they last lived in as distinct from place of birth. In one case an
ancestor put N P as London but in fact he was born in Newport, Wales, but
had lived in London most of his life.
So I think it is useful to treat this information with a degree of caution.
