Hi Richard :)
Australian censuses were destroyed after the information was taken from them as far as I know. This site may be able to help you with more information ... http://www.jaunay.com/auscensus.html or http://www.nla.gov.au/guides/discoverguides/auscensus.html which states none with personal names exist after 1901 so I may be incorrect in my opening line!! I hope these help! :D
Take care,
Rob.

Subject: [AUS-UK-LOOKUPS] Melbourne, Census ?
Is anyone able to tell me if there is available any such thing as a census
of Melbourne, Victoria on microfiche ?
I'd be looking to find anything around 1880 if possible. Does such a thing
exist ?, if so where in Wellington might
i get access to such a thing ?. Im trying to research more on my SMITH
family (descendents of George SMITH, Boilermaker and his
wife Mary Ann WEDLAKE, both originally from London, England). So any help
would be most appreciated.
cheers
Richard
