Not a great deal of information but perhaps a small
connection that may be of interest - I was
transcribing a letter written 18/8/1882 from David
Hughes of Geelong to Peter Robertson of Jerilderie
formerly of Barrabool. At the end of the letter David
states, "Mr Mackerel and Mr James Sinclair have just
stepped in and wish to be kindly remembered to you and
family".
Peter Robertson was one of a number of folk that
arrived in the Barrabool Hills from Perthshire. Peter
arrived in 1848.
