G'day Michele,

I'm afraid you're creating some confusion on the various lists you're
subscribed to. It appears that you're sending emails to individuals who
have entires on the Surnames of Interest list and ALSO sending every message
to the Geelong and District Mailing List, the Victorian Goldfields Mailing
List and the Genealogical Society of Victoria Mailing List. "Cross Posting"
to mailing lists in this way is definitely unacceptable because of the
confusion you're creating.

Your message appears to be replying to a question from a person which in
fact you're not doing - others on the list think they've missed receiving
postings to the list as they can't see the original message which in fact
doesn't exist.

I hope that explains why it causes a problem and is unacceptable procedure
for mailing lists.

It's possible that you don't realise you're doing this - if you're not sure,
have a look at your sent messages and have a good look at the TO and CC and
BCC fields.
