G'day Linda,
I checked "Geelong Grammarians : a Biographical Register" vol. 1:
1855-1913, by Justin Corfield & Michael Persse, GGS, 1996. There is an
entry for a Frederick George Thomas who entered the school in 1863. If
you give me a postal address I'll send you a copy of the entry. There
are other Thomases too but they after the 1870s.
There are also a few Thomases mentioned in "Light Blue Down Under" by
Weston Bate, OUP, 1990.
Otherwise, perhaps write to the Archivist, Geelong Grammar School,
Corio, Victoria.
