Subject: [GEELONG] RAWSON and RAWSON FERTILIZER WORKS
Date: Sat, 16 Sep 2000 02:20:58 +1000

I would be pleased to hear from anyone who has any information relating to one ROBERT HENRY RAWSON who died in Geelong in April, 1898 and lived at 22 Victoria Parade. He started a Fertilizer Works in the late 1800's working in conjunction with his son CHARLES NAINBY RAWSON, both of whom were chemists. Charles Nainby Rawson had 2 sons, Charles Allan Rawson and OLAF EDWIN RAWSON, the latter I believe served for many years in the Police Force and I understand he attained the rank of District Commissioner for the Geelong area, he lived and died at Belmont.

Any information relating to any of the abovenamed "Rawson's" or in connection with the Fertilizer Works would be truly appreciated. Many Thanks. Denise Douglas.
