My computer crashed yesterday with the dreaded "badtrans" virus. I had opened an attachment from a person supposedly on the Tipperary List, no attachment name in subject file. The "person" had replied to my posting re Towns in Tipp and in the body of the message was 'take a look at my attachment'. So silly me did, even though I saved it to a floppy and opened it later, my virus checker isn't up to date as it should be. In this one attachment was the following
Me_nude.AVI.pif
New_napster_site.DOC.SCR
s3msong.MP3.pif
Sorry-about-yesterday.DO
There is also one about a hamster + many more about 13 all told so my techo told me. It is a new virus and a nasty one, one of its many names is Trojan.
I suggest that all listers look for files called
*badtrans*, *13312@mm* on their hard drive, if you find them call your technician and don't open any attachments, even if you are confident of your virus checker.

Once again my apologies to any on these lists if I have caused you problems.
