Hi Pam,

I have a 'drowning' mystery in my family but unfortunately hardly any
information. My great uncle, George Marion, is supposed to have drowned
while taking part in a yacht race in Port Philip Bay. And, unfortunately,
that's about all I have. The Marion family of Geelong don't appear to have
been very keen on registering events. There is no death certificate for
George (that I could find anyway). Family lore has it that George's father,
John Napoleon Marion, walked the beaches for a fortnight looking for
George's body but it was never found and John Napoleon returned home with
white hair!

I don't suppose anyone else has any information about this accident?
