Hi ,
I am new to this list and hope someone may be able to help me.
If anyone can access a copy of a book called The Golfhill Story...A Curtain Falls at Shelford. Written by Phillip L Brown, could they have a look and see if there are any references to a James Hill, Jane McGregor or James McGregor. According to James marriage certificate he was a grocer[As far as I can make out the writing] He married Jane McGregor [who was a domestic at Golfhill station]on 1/1/1856 , at the church at the station.Their place of residence was given as Golfhill.James McGregor was Jane 's father.
