Hi Jim
The entry for Joe Stratton is actually at #49 p 66A.
It is in an article about an area called Sheoaks. It reads, in part " Next
door on the north side was the Bailey property, possibly close to 1000
acres. Two families here, Bill, Mary-Jane and Lucy Bailey and in some way
related to them Joe Stratton and his wife Beatrice and their brood, Mavis
Alicke, Joseph, Thomas, Rosie, Lucy, Bert as far as I can
remember."..."About 1923 Joe Stratton purchased a Ford T model van enclosed
by wire mesh and canvas side curtains... so his weekly journey to Geelong
was much quicker." ..."Joe Stratton junior died at the age of twelve of
some mystery complaint and eventually the three Baileys passed on, then the
estate was sold during the second world war..."
