Dear Listers,

Does anyone have any info on the Geelong Exhibition ? What/when was it etc.

I found reference in the Geelong Advertiser to the Geelong Exhibition of 1880 when my g-grandfather (William Henry Carpenter then aged 31) was a winner for an essay entitled ' Geelong - Past, Present and Future' . His father William Carpenter ( then aged 63) also won a prize in the senior section but we dont know what for.

Unfortunately we dont have a copy of the essay - but I wonder if they were published in anything at the time ??
