Has anyone any knowledge of the career of Hubert Alfred Adams and his
newspaper business in Malop St c. 1914-47? Edith and Hubert Adams lived
in a mansion overlooking Eastern Beach; they'd moved to Geelong from
Linton and he established or took over a newspaper, and operated a
printing works, presumably also in Malop St. He was killed in a road
accident in Geelong in 1947. Any scraps of information, or suggestions
other than contacting the local Historical Society (I know about that
one), would be most welcome.
