Sandy is now living in Ipswich. I see him regularly and keep in touch
over our numerous mutual photographic history research interests, camera
collecting etc. Sandy is completing his latest book which is a directory
of British photographers. He is still accepting updates for his book
Australians Behind the Camera and I will pass on the info I gather on
Geelong. There are no immediate plans for a reprint - the first edition
was limited to only 150 copies.

Hello Susie,

What has happened to Sandy Barrie who was collecting info & produced
"Australians Behind the Camera."?

And how far does your "District" extend? I see Bacchus Marsh and towns
along the coast and highways to the West in your list. What is the
you will go? Warrnambool? Port Fairy? Hamilton? Colac? and to the north,

how far?

I have quite a few photos taken by Geelong photographers,( but most have
name of the sitter) from the days when I used to collect old photos when
was doing photo history in Victoria back in the 1970s and used to copy
restore photos (pre computer days!). I passed on all my history material

via photocopy to Sandy way back in the BBS days (pre-internet, for the
uninitiated amongst us), all of which he returned once he had absorbed
he needed.

It's possible I can contribute images.
