Hello Listers,

My grandmother Ellen Mary KENNEDY, stated at her children's births, that she
was born in Geelong. As she had never mentioned any family member, we
suspect she may have been in an orphanage. St. Catherine's Orphanage had an
Ellen Kennedy in the right time frame, but had no parents' names for the
girl. We don't know her parents' names either. It was not shown on her
marriage or death certificates.

Has anyone got a Kennedy in their family tree who had a daughter in an
orphanage. We think her birth was about 1865-6 but have no other
information.
