I'm christened Mary, called Marie. My mother was christened Mary,
called Maisie. My auntie was christened Elizabeth called Lil. Another
aunt was christened Theresa called Tress. An uncle was christened Paul
John called Jack. And so on...Johanna called Han, Cecilia called Cis,
Mathilda called Tilly. Is it an Irish thing? Marie L
