Simon, My ancestors moved from Gnarwarre in Barrabool Hills district
to Mologa, part of the Terricks survey in 1870's. Family oral tradition
is that they moved to get more land for their two grown sons. That area
had just been surveyed and was declared excellent farming land. (It was
a good season that year!) I have the diary of the man who surveyed that
area (It was published in the Pyramid Hill newspaper) and can send you
excerpts. Many families moved North at that time. Marie
