Thank you to everyone for their imput.

I think the idea is that the RC records probably originate in St Mary's Geelong then a copy went to Head Office (St Francis, Melb) and the Vic BDM numbers are basically duplicates of the St Mary's and St Francis. Thus we have one original (St Mary's) and three duplicates.

Is that how it goes?

My next question, would Early Church Records record the parents of the bride & groom?
