Hi everyone - Susie has allowed me to place this 'advertisement' as I know many of you with Colac connections may not get to hear about it elsewhere......

I have just read in the Colac Herald of Dawn Peel's newest book detailing Colac during World War 2. The need was apparent when she was helping design a history course for one of the local schools and found a lack of local knowledge of that time.

Dawn has interviewed residents living through those war years etc and I know that her research is always meticulous. The book is available at various outlets in Colac.
