Subject: [GEELONG] John McPHERSON: Waurn Ponds/Duneed/Moriac

Hi Listers
I've been asked for any information about the John McPHERSON who was
the purchaser from the Crown of over 1000 acres of land south of Ham's
Road in Waurn Ponds (?in the late 1850s). I am trying to sort out a
few scrappy notes about various McPHERSONs. This list has discussed
the different names used for the above area south of Waurn Ponds
Creek, and these place-names are compounding my confusion.
Was he the "John McPHERSON, Mt Moriac" whose 2 year old daughter was
advertised as lost in 1853 (20 pounds reward offered)?*
Was he the "John McPherson, Duneed" who married Annabella McRae at the
Barrabool Presbyterian manse in 1863?
Was he the John McPHERSON buried at Mount Moriac in 1869, aged 44 (or
42)?
Was he John McPHERSON, father of Donald died aged 20 in 1879 whose
mother was Janet (??McCANNA)?
Was he related to McPHERSONs of Gnarwarre/Mt Pollock?
*And are there any reports of discovering her body"
I'd greatly appreciate help on this, thank you.
Marion
