Hi All,
I'm looking for some information about South Geelong School, situated on the block bounded by Yarra, Mundy, School & Kilgour streets.
The oldest building on the site appears to be the one closest to the corner of Yarra and Mundy streets. Does anyone know when this building was built?
According to the records the original school was opened on 1/8/1879 and was a 2 storey building on the present site.
I took photos of it when I was in Victoria at Easter, but didn't think to look for a date on it (major fail).
I have emailed the school asking about this, but haven't received a reply from them.
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Liz
